About This Camp
Want to play in a band on stage? Our Rock 101 music camp is designed for beginners 8-12 years old. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.
SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities.
- On Friday camp ends at 1pm, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
FRIDAY PERFORMANCE
On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the songs they’ve been working on all week. The show will take place at the school at 1:00pm. We will be providing more details about the show on the first day of camp.
SHOULD MY CHILD BE IN ROCK 101 CAMP OR PERFORMANCE CAMP?
We get this question a lot. Our Performance and Rock 101 camps often run during the same week and cost the same amount, which means we can easily move students between them to ensure they’re in the best place for their skill level and experience. If you’re not sure which camp is the right fit, don’t worry, go ahead and reserve your spot before the week fills up. We’ll make sure your student is placed where they’ll learn the most and have the most fun. You’re also welcome to stop by anytime! We’d be happy to sit down with you and your student, play a few songs, and help determine where they’ll thrive.
WHAT TO BRING
- Campers must bring their own (NUT-FREE) lunch, snacks and water bottle labeled with their name each day.
- Please make sure your student wears clothing and footwear suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities, especially during summer camps.
- Students are expected to bring their own instruments needed for the duration of the camp. We can supply instruments if needed.
- Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp, depending on the needs of the group.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Students are not permitted to leave the facility at ANY time on their own, and must be picked up by a parent or guardian at the end of camp.
- Please review the school's Code of Conduct with your child prior to the first day of camp.
- A fully completed and signed waiver is required in order to attend and participate in programs at School of Rock.
- After registering for camp, please sign the required waivers on the School of Rock client portal (Pike13), which you can access from your confirmation email.
