Welcome to April! We're into Spring with warmer weather and working on our new season of our performance and Rock 101 groups as well! Scroll to see what's coming up this month at School of Rock.
We have TWO Houseband gigs coming up this month!
First, our Houseband will perform at Fuel & Creme on April 9th!
The School of Rock Elmhurst Houseband is excited to perform at the Fuel & Creme courtyard!
At Crème, you can enjoy sweet happenings everyday! They're always rotating up a variety of soft serve dairy custard and non-dairy options along with scoopable ice cream in yummy flavors.
FUEL is serving up fresh beverages to relax, refresh & refuel. Featuring beers, craft cocktails, wine, and cider. Enjoy their food truck, a Moveable Feast, to satisfy all your food cravings!

Next, our Houseband will perform at Art in Wilder Park on April 30th!
Join us this year for the 25th annual Art in Wilder Park! The School of Rock Elmhurst Houseband is excited to perform live from 11:30AM-1:00PM on April 30th, but the festival runs all day, from 10:00AM-5:00PM!
In addition to our Houseband performance, School of Rock will set up our "Instrument Petting Zoo" in the Kids Court where your young musician can get a taste of what it's like to play an instrument! Scroll to see some pictures of our instrument petting zoo from previous years.

We've opened a new Rookies class time AND a new Little Wing class time!
Our new Rookies weekly class meets Fridays from 5:15pm-6:00pm.
Our new Little Wing weekly class meets Thursdays from 4:30pm-5:15pm.
If you're a current Rookies or Little Wing enrollment and are interested in a smaller class size with more opportunity for your student, give us a call to swap to this time. If you're a new family who'd like to enroll in this class, or you know of a family who may want to enroll, feel free to reach out as well!
We're excited to announce a new lesson teacher joining our School of Rock family!
Mary Spencer - Instructor: vocals, keys, guitar
Mary currently has open lesson spots on Thursdays. Let us know if you'd like to take lessons with Mary!
Mary Spencer grew up in smalltown Mt. Vernon, Missouri where her love of music grew. While in middle school and highschool she was in band and show choir, and participated in over 14 different honor ensembles including All-State Band, All-State Choir, and the NAfME All-National Choir. After highschool Mary went to the University of Kansas to study both saxophone and voice and theatre performance. While at KU she performed in over 25 ensembles, 4 operas, 3 theatre productions, and played in the KU Basketball Band where she traveled and played at the NCAA tournament. In her free time she subbed for her friend’s band Glass Bandit on saxophone and background vocals. Since graduating Mary has been acting professionally at Cedar Point, and King’s Island. After finishing those contracts Mary moved to Chicago! She is so excited to be an instructor at both the Elmhurst and Hinsdale locations of School of Rock!

Our 2022 Summer Camps are still on sale!
If you've attended summer camps before, you can look forward to coming back this upcoming Summer for another camp experience. If you haven't tried a camp before, try one out for a fun-filled week of music! Summer camps also make a great holiday gift for any young rocker you know--whether they're a seasoned drummer or a beginner guitarist, we have a camp that's right for them!
