Welcome to May! Our performance season and Rock 101 season are well underway, and our Houseband is revving up for some awesome shows as well! Scroll to see what's up this month at School of Rock.
First, a recap on our Houseband gig last month!
Our Houseband performed their first gig of the season at Fuel & Creme on April 9th! Rockin at this venue was not our typical big stage with lights, but was a great way to step out into the community and put on a rockin' show.

At Crème, you can enjoy sweet happenings everyday! They're always rotating up a variety of soft serve dairy custard and non-dairy options along with scoopable ice cream in yummy flavors.
FUEL is serving up fresh beverages to relax, refresh & refuel. Featuring beers, craft cocktails, wine, and cider. Enjoy their food truck, a Moveable Feast, to satisfy all your food cravings!

Our Houseband has another gig coming up May 7th — the School of Rock DuPage County Houseband Showcase!
Join us on May 7th for our 2022 School of Rock DuPage County Houseband show! This show will feature the housebands from School of Rock Naperville, Elmhurst, and Hinsdale for one awesome show! It's also a great chance to see Elmhurst’s brand new premier venue, Elmhurst Hall!

Our Performance Program has their end of season show on May 21st!
School of Rock Elmhurst's end of performance program season show is upcoming! This show will be held on May 21st at Elmhurst Hall--come check out this new venue!
Our show will pay tribute to the 1970's, the 1980's, the 1990's, the 2000's, and the 2010's, so there's sure to be music for everyone in attendance. Doors open at 10:30AM, and the show begins at 11:00AM.
We hope to see you there to support our rockers' hard work over this past performance season!

Our Adult Performance Program has a show coming up this month as well!
Our Elmhurst Adult Performance Program's end of season show is approaching! On May 27th, our rockers will give their all to show you the hard work they've put in over the Spring season!
Come out to The Quarry in Lemont on May 27th at 6pm to check out some rocking Tunes!
We have announced our performance themes for the upcoming summer season!
Performance Program - School of Rock’s Flagship Program - is a unique combination of private and group lessons which offers students the opportunity to apply every concept they learn in their private lesson into a real rock n roll setting; essentially connecting the dots from the practice room, to full band rehearsals, and finally up to the stage at some of Chicago's best rock clubs! Our students have performed at Lincoln Hall, Double Door, Schubas, & The Empty Bottle, among countless other amazing venues. Each season, we offer a variety of amazing performance group themes (i.e. the music of Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, HeavyMetal, etc… ) from which students are able to select their group. Tuition for this program is $354/month and includes a weekly 45 minute private lesson as well as a weekly group rehearsal that runs 2 hours and 15 minutes. You would be billed on a recurring monthly basis and you could cancel anytime during the current month for the following month. However, we ask that once you commit to a season, you stay until the final performance.

LOLLAPALOOZA: Folks nowadays think of Lollapalooza as the annual blowout in Chicago's Grant Park. But Lolla was once a traveling showcase of some of the best alt, grunge, indie and more from around the world! This show will pull heavily from Lolla's past, and might include a few more modern artists for good measure!
LILITH FAIR: Founded by singer Sarah McLachlan in the late 90's, Lilith Fair was a female-focused festival of girlpower that shook the industry to it's core! This show will focus on all the folk, rock, soul, pop, and more that all these talented female and female-identying artists toured the world with!
WOODSTOCK: The original, and for many still the best, mega festival happened on a farm in upstate New York in the late 60's! An epic meeting of some of the biggest acts in classic rock, this show is gonna give the respect that such titanic talents deserve.
COACHELLA: The 2000's brough a new major American festival onto the stage! Coming out of the sunny California desert, Coachella is a celebration of the best in pop, indie, and so much more!
Heads up! We're closed for Memorial day.
We will be closed in honor of Memorial Day on May 30th. If you have class or a lesson on May 30th--don't worry; May has 5 Mondays, so you'll still get your full month of School of Rock!
AllStars results will be announced May 9th, and our very own CJ has been chosen as an AllStars Music Director!
Many of you know CJ as a drum instructor and MD here at Elmhurst, and we're excited to announce that he has been chosen as one of the MDs for this year's annual AllStars program. This is an amazing honor--he was chosen from over 300 Schools of Rock around the country!
We wish CJ the best with this amazing opportunity!

Our 2022 Summer Camps are still on sale!
If you've attended summer camps before, you can look forward to coming back this upcoming Summer for another camp experience. If you haven't tried a camp before, try one out for a fun-filled week of music! Summer camps also make a great holiday gift for any young rocker you know--whether they're a seasoned drummer or a beginner guitarist, we have a camp that's right for them!
