HERE IS WHAT A TYPICAL DAY OF CAMP LOOKS LIKE:
Band members will be cast on songs and learn between 3 and 5 songs in just one week, depending on how much they can handle as a band. At the end of the week, the kids will perform a live rock concert on Friday afternoon for family and friends! The set list will be decided first thing Monday morning after students are introduced to each other and the staff. We will do our best to guage what the kids are interested in and what will help each of them progress the most as musicians.
DAILY ACTIVITIES OUR CAMPERS WILL PARTAKE IN:
- Team building exercises, games, and trivia contests to learn about fellow "bandmate" campers and our camp directors.
- Sectionals by instrument to cover the fundamentals of playing music in a band setting.
- Workshops on various topics such as note values, blues improv, stagecraft, music theory, etc.
- The end of camp culminates in a live performance at a local venue!
UNLESS NOTIFIED OTHERWISE SHOWTIME ON FRIDAY WILL BE BETWEEN 2 & 2:30
- Students will need to be picked up on Friday at the school no later than 1:45 for transport to the venue if it is not within walking distance of our location.
STUDENTS MUST BRING AND WEAR HEARING PROTECTION AT ALL TIMES WITHIN OUR REHEARSAL ROOMS.
- Rock music is intended to be played loud and we want to make sure our camper's ears are well protected!
- We do provide a limited number of isolated headphones and have single use ear plugs available for $1 at the front desk.

Q: WHAT DOES AN AVERAGE DAY OF CAMP LOOK LIKE? DO THEY PLAY MUSIC ALL DAY LONG?
A: A typical day at camp involves games, activities, group rehearsal sessions and group / individual lessons on their instruments. The first day of camp doesn’t usually involve as much instrument time as the rest of the week as we spend the day listening to the songs and figuring out parts as a group.
Q: DO THE STUDENTS NEED TO HAVE ANY MUSICAL EXPERIENCE OR WILL YOU TEACH THEM AT CAMP?
A: For every camp other than Rock 101 camps, we recommend that students have some experience on their instruments. Ask us about lesson packs to get your student up to speed!
Q: WHAT AGES OF STUDENTS ATTEND CAMP? WILL THERE BE SOMEONE CLOSE TO MY CHILD’S AGE?
A: Rock 101 camps range from 7 - 10 y/o and all other camps will range from 10 - 18 years old. We believe that students should gain experience learning and interacting with students of different ages, backgrounds and abilities. We tend to always have a few students in each age bracket, but each camp is different.
Q: WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS/STAFF?
A: Our instructors are real working, professional musicians. Every instructor has cleared a background check and is trained to work with students in the appropriate age range for each camp. We also maintain a 6:1 student-to-staff ratio during each day of camp.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN’T MAKE IT TO CAMP ONE/MULTIPLE DAY(S)?
A: We have limited space in our camps, and wait lists for some. We ask that your child attends all 5-days of camp as they’re part of a team. There are no partial refunds due to days missed.
Q: WHAT ARE SOME THINGS NOT TO BRING TO CAMP?
A: Campers shouldn’t bring any toys, trading cards, dolls, personal gaming devices, etc. Anything that might distract them should stay at home. We do not take responsibility for any broken or lost items.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP POLICIES?
A: For all camps please drop-off between 9:15am and 9:30am, and pick-up at 3:45pm at the latest.
