Enrollment at School of Rock Fairfax District is ongoing, even as our Performance and Rock 101 seasons change. If you need to cancel, we require a 30-day written notice sent to fairfax@schoolofrock.com. Students are welcome to attend all scheduled lessons and rehearsals during the notice period.

For missed lessons, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. With proper notice, you’ll receive a makeup credit that can be scheduled through our admin team or through your Pike13 account. Makeup credits expire 3 months after issue. Same-day cancellations, no-shows, or calls after hours are not eligible for makeups.

We do not offer makeups for major holiday closures (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Dec. 24–Jan. 1) or for our seasonal Prep Weeks — the final week of May (Summer Prep Week) and the final week of August (Fall Prep Week). To balance this, certain months include more than four lessons or rehearsals at no additional cost.

Will my child ever have a substitute teacher?

Occasionally, yes. All of our instructors are professional musicians, so subs may step in if someone is touring, recording, or out sick. All substitutes are trained, background checked, and qualified to teach your child’s instrument.
