CAMP DESCRIPTION
The 80s brought us a wave of new sounds and music genres, and produced hits that still rock the airwaves today. In this music camp, we’ll perform hits from artists like Billy Idol, Devo, Cyndi Lauper, Van Halen, Flock of Seagulls, and many more. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and practicing 80s songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 9-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm each day
- Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week. They will need to be picked up from our school's location and brought to the local venue. Venue is TBD and will be announced prior to the start of camp. The performance will take place at 4pm.(Time subject to change)
What to Expect
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors!
- Students can bring their own lunch and snacks. We will also make trips to the Subway located next door. Please send students with money if they will be buying lunch.
- Depending on the weather, fun outdoor games will be setup outside in between rehearsals.
- On Friday, we will take a walk to the local Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat. Please send your student with money if they would like to partake.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations more than 30 days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund. Cancellations between 30 days and 24 hours before the start of camp will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of camp.
If School of Rock must cancel a camp for any reason (such as not enough campers) a full refund will be provided.
