Folsom, CA – School of Rock Folsom is proud to announce its upcoming End-of-Season show. At the end of September, six bands will take the stage at a Folsom brewery to show off all the hard work they’ve put in over the summer.
The show will take place on Sunday, September 28 at Out of Bounds Craft Kitchen and Biergarten in Folsom. Performances will get underway at 11:00 a.m.
This is the 7th season of School of Rock Folsom performances. These End-of-Season shows feature two types of performance groups: Rock 101 features younger students, usually ages 7-11. They will be performing songs from the ‘80s and ‘90s, with hits like “I Hate Myself for Loving You” by Joan Jett and “Where is My Mind?” by The Pixies.
Older students – ranging in age from 11-18 – will be performing music from a variety of artists, including Metallica, The Ramones, and classic one-hit wonders like The Knack and Semisonic.
“We’re very excited about this season’s shows,” said Joshua Conanan, General Manager for School of Rock Folsom. “These kids have put in a lot of work, and it’s always so rewarding for parents – and our School of Rock instructors – to see that hard work pay off on stage.”
School of Rock students take individual lessons on traditional rock instruments like guitar and drums, but they also come together each week to learn how to play in a band with their peers. It’s what makes it such a special place. They spend months preparing rock songs, and shows like this one at Out of Bounds are where they get to step on stage and show off everything they’ve learned.
Performances are open to the public.
