In this special 5-day music camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs!

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This music camp is great for students 11-17 years old who have had previous instruction.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

• Monday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm
• Friday 9:00am-2:00pm with the Camp Show beginning at 1:00pm
• Each Day will consist of planning and composition, solo and group work.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A 50% refund will be offered on cancelled camps up to 30 days prior to the camp start date. Cancellations within 29 days before camp are not eligible for a refund.
