Hello School Of Rock Families!
Welcome to June! Summer is finally here, and we've got tons of fun events coming up for a musical first month of summer! In addition, our new seasons of Performance Program and Rock 101 will be starting this month, so there's even more to look forward to.
First up, a recap on our DuPage County Houseband Showcase!
On May 7th, all three of our School of Rock DuPage County Housebands came together for an awesome show! It was some of the bands' first gig of the season, and it was great to see our students' talent and hard work onstage!
The event was held at Elmhurst Hall, a new venue in Elmhurst!

Our end of Performance Program season show is coming up this month as well!
Our performance program students have been hard at work the past few months, and on June 4th, they'll get to perform their rockin' tunes for you! Come out and support our students.
DATE: June 4th, 2022
TIME: Doors open at 10:45AM; show starts at 11:00AM
VENUE: The Pavillion: 7038 S. Harlem Ave, Bridgeview, IL
Each family with student(s) in the show receives 5 free admissions. Details about ticketing are to come--keep your eyes peeled for another email later this month.
Our Rock 101 open rehearsals are also this month!
Our Rock 101 students have been working hard on their songs all season, and they're ready to show off their skills!
Open rehearsals are held at the same times as our regular Rock 101 sessions, so we will have open rehearsals at the following times:
- Tuesday, June 7th from 4:30pm - 6:00pm
- Thursday, June 9th from 4:30pm - 6:00pm
- Friday, June 10th from 5:15pm - 6:45pm
Families and friends of our rockers are welcome to attend in person! For everyone else, please show your support for our rockers by watching through livestream! Watch the livestream HERE.
The 2022 AllStars have been announced, and School of Rock DuPage County is proud to have FIVE ALL STARS!
Being chosen as a School of Rock AllStar is an honor, as AllStars are chosen on a national stage. Less than 1% of School of Rock students are selected each year to represent School of Rock as an AllStar, so we are thrilled to announce our School of Rock DuPage County AllStars!

We're opening up TWO MORE SUMMER CAMPS!
Some of our camps have been so popular we decided to open up second sessions! If you're interested in either of these camps and they were sold out, good news! You can sign up for these second sessions!
Little Wing Camp!
Surf’s up at School of Rock, Hinsdale! Little Wing Campers will love learning great classic beach rock tunes from the 50’s - present. Our “Beach Band” will be singing, playing hand instruments and using our imaginations. Campers will also be introduced to each of the main rockband instruments (guitar, bass, drums, piano/keyboard, and vocals), so they have an understanding of how the instruments produce sound and what makes them distinct. Beach Rock Camp will include a wide variety of large and fine motor activities, crafts, “sound” experiments and games designed to develop a love and understanding of music!

Classic Rock Rewind Camp!
Campers will learn the music of 60s and 70s rock icons such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones in our Classic Rock Rewind summer camp. In addition to songs, students will learn about rock history and the stagecraft needed to perform on a stage. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 8-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
