Want to learn what it takes to play in a band? Campers will explore their instrument through musical games, activities, and playing songs together in a band. Campers will also learn rock songs by artists like the White Stripes, Green Day, Weezer, Fleetwood Mac (actual song selection TBD). Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. At the end of the week, campers will hold a performance to show their family and friends what they learned.

who this camp is for

This summer camp is designed for beginners 8-12 years old. It’s helpful if your camper has already had a chance to explore their instrument of choice, but not required. Though no experience is required, campers will need to choose the instrument they want to focus on and learn to play.

camp schedule

This camp runs 9:00am–3:00pm for five days, Monday through Friday.

This camp includes a performance on Friday for family and friends. Please make sure your camper is available to attend the performance.

NOTE: Please allow extra time for arrival due to train crossings in the area.

what to expect

Campers can expect an exciting, educational, and fun week of learning music and playing songs taught by our talented camp instructors. Campers can bring their own guitar or bass, or they can use instruments we provide.

Each day, campers will be asked to bring snacks, water and hearing protection. They will also need to bring a lunch Monday-Thursday. We will provide a pizza party on Friday.

instrument mix

To ensure a balanced camp as we build Rock 101 bands, a particular instrument mix is required. We have to limit certain instruments more than others, especially drummers.

cancellation policy & CAMP TRANSFER DEADLINE

Cancellations made 15 days prior to the camp start date have two options: 1) 100% credit toward a new enrollment membership for one of our year-round programs -new students only- OR 2) a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of the 1st day of camp are not eligible for a refund or credit. Enrollment transfer between camps can be done up to APRIL 30, 2025.
