SPRING SHOWS NOW ENROLLING!

SPRING SHOWS IN FULL BLOOM!

Our Performance Program is what School of Rock is all about! Students are placed in shows and assigned songs to build musical proficiency. The student and the instructor work on individual parts in private lessons, and bring the songs back to the group rehearsal, where they learn about teamwork, collaboration, and playing in a band.  This all culminates with an end-of-season performance at a rock venue.  Signups for our new season begin now!

OUR NEW SEASON STARTS THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 5TH! CONTACT US TODAY TO SAVE YOUR SPOT IN THE BAND! BLUES LEGENDS FULL ALREADY!

ROOKIES

AGES 4-7 WEDNESDAYS 4:30-5:30PM | FRIDAYS 5-6PM |  SATURDAYS 10:45-11:45AM

Rookies is a music program designed for children (typically 4 to 7-year-olds) with no previous musical experience. As with all our music programs, Rookies adheres to the patented School of Rock Method. Our Method's core philosophy is that performance-based music education is the best way for students to gain musical proficiency. Rookies students have one weekly group music lesson where they learn music fundamentals like chords, rhythm and song structure. Kids get to learn and experiment with multiple instruments so they are then able to decide which one they ultimately want to continue pursuing in Rock 101.

ROCK101

AGES 6-10 |  MONDAYS & TUESDAYS 4:30-5:30PM

Rock 101 is one of School of Rock’s major programs for kids and beginners. The patented School of Rock Method combines our core philosophy of performance-based music education with a unique curriculum designed for kids with no previous musical experience. Students have one weekly group rehearsal where they learn classic rock songs that have been simplified specifically for beginner musicians. These rehearsals get young musicians to learn the fundamentals of their instrument while playing with a band in a positive and fun atmosphere. Students also have a weekly private music lesson with an instructor who will help them rehearse performance songs while teaching them foundational music skills and concepts.

BLUES LEGENDS

AGES 10-18 TUESDAYS 6-8PM 4:30-5:30PM | STARTING FEB 6TH

The mother of rock n roll, blues is not only a genre and a sound, but a songwriting structure in itself. It is very important for any rock musician (esp. Keys, Guitar, and Bass) to have a solid foundation of understanding the Blues structure, which has been historically utilized by artists from Muddy Waters to Led Zeppelin and Van Halen, all the way through modern artists such as Billie Ellish an Taylor Swift. This show will cover foundational blues artists such as Howlin Wolf, B.B King, Albert King, Etta James, and Robert Johnson, as well as blues-rock musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Band members will learn valuable theoretical concepts, and beginners will benefit highly from learning and executing the basic blues structure. Intermediate and advanced players will get to stretch their legs with improvisation and the chance to put more advanced theoretical concepts into practice.

GREENDAY

AGES 10-18 WEDNESDAYS 6-8PM | STARTING FEB 7TH

Dingers will benefit from interesting and memorable melodies and develop power in their vocals. Green Day's faster material is also excellent for pushing overall speed. Band members will dive into classic tunes such as When I Come Around, Basket Case, American Idiot, 21 Guns, Welcome to Paradise, and many more!

BEST OF THE 80'S

AGES 10-18 THURSDAYS 6-8PM | STARTING FEB 8TH

The 80's were big on embracing new technology in music, and are a great lesson in playing your instrument in a different way than you may be used to. A great show for keyboardists who want to explore more systhesizer sounds, Best of the 80's features bands like Journey, The Police, Billy Idol, The Cars, Cindy Laupner, Survivor, and more! This show is also a great option for guitarists and drummers. While this is not as overly flashy as hair metal, there are some killer riffs, fills, and solos in this show. Vocalists are sure to have the whole crowd singing along with these hit tunes! Students will be exposed to many different stylistic influences and learn how they can all come together to make something familiar but fresh in the realm on pop music.
