Rik Alison
Music Director, Guitar Teacher
Rik has over 20 years of professional performing experience and taught 65+ students a week for over 15 years. From traveling the Midwest in a road cover band, to playing his own music in some of the top venues on the eastern seaboard, including The Middle East in Boston, CBGB's and The Continental in NYC, Rik has played thousands of gigs and brings this real world experience to the classroom. As an alumnus of the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he majored in Performance and Music Education, Rik has devised a program to solidify student's understanding of harmony, arranging and ear training as it pertains to their instruments and the music they love. In addition to all the road work and studying, Rik has also logged hundreds of hours of studio time in everything from 8-track demo studios to fully automated 48-track facilities and uses this experience to help prepare students for the different situations that can arise in live performances and studio sessions. Rik believes in continuing education and is always trying new things and looking for time to study new concepts.
Annalee Condiles
General Manager, Vocals Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Annalee graduated from Belmont University where she majored in music business and live event management and minored in dance. She first got involved with singing through musical theater and to this day can call herself a proud theater kid, although the School of Rock program is really where her love grew.
Annalee attended School of Rock Main Line in Berwyn where she was a House Band member and was twice selected to the prestigious School of Rock AllStars program. Annalee also worked at the School of Rock in Nashville while attending college. Her rock inspirations range from Stevie Wonder to No Doubt to Black Sabbath and she is so excited to share her passion for singing and performing back at School of Rock Main Line. You can catch her and other School of Rock alumni playing in and around Philadelphia with the cover band Annalee & Greydyent.
Wally Smith
Piano Teacher
Wally Smith's experience covers over 40 years of live performance and recording session work in Philly, NYC, Europe and Japan. His studies included rock, classical and jazz piano and Hammond organ along with ARP Odyssey synth training. In the late 70s he recorded and toured with CBS recording artist Quincy, then managed by CBGB's owner Hilly Krystal. Wally then became the house keyboard player for JC Dobbs' legendary Last Minute Jam Band. Throughout the 80s and 90s they backed up artists like Ace Frehley, Scott Henderson, Gerald Veasley, Frank Gambale, Chris Squier, Bo Diddley and many others. He also became a regular session player for producer David Ivory at Philly's Sigma Sound Studios. Current studio work has been with Grammy-winning producers Phil Nicolo at Studio 4, and Mike Tarsia. Wally has recorded and/or performed with a variety of rock, blues, and jazz artists, such as Greg Davis, Johnny O, Essra Mohawk, Laura Mann, Vernon Reid, Ben Arnold, Philly 76ers House Band, Soul Survivors, Will Lee (Fab Faux), Jeannie Brooks, Kenn Kweder, Richard Bush, Tommy Conwell, Clarence Spady, Calvin Weston, Byard Lancaster and many others. Wally's long term jam band project, Crosstown Traffic, has done three tours throughout Japan. Other current activities include playing keyboards in power pop band Smash Palace, funk band Loose and Alright and Hooter's drummer David Uosikkinen's band In the Pocket. Wally also runs School of Rock Main Line's Adult Jam program and has been a piano teacher and directed student shows at School of Rock Main Line for over 10 years.
David Uosikkinen
Drum Teacher
Drummer David Uosikkinen is one of the founding members of Philadelphia’s own, The Hooters. In 2010, David formed his own band, David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket, to bring awareness to music education and to pay homage to all of the great music that has come out of Philadelphia. In The Pocket brings together all-star Philly musicians to cover classic Philadelphia tunes.
David has played drums with The Hooters for almost 40 years. He has also recorded and performed with Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Taj Mahal and Patty Smyth, as well as with many other emerging artists. In addition, David has performed on extensive international tours, including Live Aid, Amnesty International and Roger Waters’ The Wall in Berlin. When David isn’t on stage, he returns to his first love of teaching and mentoring his students. He is a drum teacher at School of Rock Main Line.
Kira Lokay
Vocal Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Kira is a musician currently attending Boyer College of Music, previously at the University of the Arts. She studies Jazz Vocal Performance and Music Technology. Kira started her musical journey at just 9 years old, enrolling at the School of Rock in Easton, Pa. She was apart of the school’s house band and in a multitude of performances.
At School of Rock Main Line, Kira is a vocal and piano instructor, as well as a seasonal show director. Her favorite part about working at School of Rock is being able to watch her students grow into their own artistry, and it really inspires her seeing her students fall in love with being a musician.
Her personal influences include a wide range from rock to neo-soul to folk, including artists such as Yebba, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lizzy McAlpine, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Slow Pulp. She is an avid concert-goer and is inspired by the energy live music brings!
Paul DeSanctis
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Paul DeSanctis is a former student of School of Rock Main Line. He has written and recorded two full-length albums and an EP for his band Malphas, for which he is the guitarist, vocalist, composer, and lyricist. He has toured extensively, including Canada and Europe.
Paul's domain is symphonic death metal, but he’s adept at teaching students proper technique and setting them on the path to being excellent guitarists. His teaching philosophy is predicated on hard work, patience, and persistence in helping his students realize their potential and musical goals.
Elliot Garland
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher
Elliot Garland is a multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Philadelphia. His music education began at Settlement Music School, where he studied classical piano for 12 years. Elliot participated in orchestra and jazz ensemble at Friends’ Central School and in the jazz ensemble at Drexel University. Since becoming a professional musician, Elliot has worked with a number of amazing artists such as John Medeski, Lauryn Hill, Jef Lee Johnson, Geoffrey Owens, Dice Raw and many more. In addition to being a guitar teacher, bass guitar teacher and piano teacher at School of Rock Main Line, Elliot plays over 200 events a year with a variety of musical projects.
Terry Conrad
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher, Piano Teacher
Terry Conrad has worked at School of Rock Main Line since its opening in 2009. He is a guitar teacher, bass guitar teacher, drum teacher and piano teacher. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of the Arts in Jazz Performance and a Master's Degree in Music Theory and Composition from West Chester University.
Ellie Perez
Vocal Instructor, Piano Teacher
Ellie Perez is a School of Rock Main Line alumna with several years of experience teaching in contemporary styles. After earning a degree in Music Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music, she spent two years performing with touring acoustic folk group Kismet while simultaneously working in the music publishing industry at Universal Music Group. Currently, she is a vocal instructor and piano teacher at School of Rock Main Line and composes/produces music for television with the production music library Velvet Green Music.
Dan Goldberg
Drum Teacher
Dan Goldberg is a Philadelphia-based drummer whose intense yet sensitive playing style has earned him recognition both on stage and in the studio. Known for his feel/phrasing, dynamic touch, and musical versatility, Dan brings an aggressive command of the instrument that remains rooted in groove, pocket, and adaptability. His performance/touring experience includes work with a wide range of artists on a local and national scale, most notably including David “Rook” Goldflies, former bassist of the legendary Allman Brothers Band, who Dan tours with across the country regularly.
Among other artists, Dan also plays for GLADYS, one of Philadelphia’s rising star pop/rnb vocalists. Additionally, Dan plays in local Philly rock groups Charmspeak and Animal Instincts, and is the band leader of his own 8 piece funk outfit Partly Cloudy.
Whether driving a high-energy set or shaping space in more improvisational contexts, Dan’s approach combines power with restraint, delivering musicality that consistently serves the song and the band. Beyond performance, Dan plays a central role in Philadelphia’s creative music community. He is the curator and host of the city’s revered weekly Monday night jam session at TIME, a long-standing hub for top-tier musicians, emerging talent, and collaborative exploration. His leadership in that space reflects his commitment to fostering artistic growth and connecting players across genres and generations, including students at School of Rock Main Line.
Paige Abramo
Vocal Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Show Director
Paige started as a student at School of Rock Main Line at 12 years old. As a student, she played guitar and sang, joining the house band, Delta Squad, for vocals at 16. Paige has always loved helping with the school’s Rock 101 program and continues to work in the program today. Outside of School of Rock, she sang in choir from sixth through 12th grade. She currently studies Music Education with a proficiency in Voice at West Chester University’s Wells School of Music. Paige’s inspiration to keep rocking comes from rock stars like Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. She also loves to sing jazz, blues, and classical music.
Caleb Batchelor
Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher
Caleb is a guitarist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with years of experience performing in the Philadelphia music scene as well as touring across the country with their band pennydog. Caleb is a lover of nearly all music and has experience playing music ranging from Ethiopian jazz to bluegrass to screamo. They believe that any new song/genre/musical context has the potential to be an invaluable opportunity for growth as a musician, and bring this philosophy with them into their lessons.
Currently, Caleb is completing a bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar performance at Philadelphia’s own Boyer College of Music and plans to pursue a master's degree in music education. In addition to this and teaching at School of Rock Main Line, they are also an alumnus of the School of Rock Fort Washington house band and are incredibly grateful for the opportunities and experience School of Rock has provided to their musical journey.
Miles Cressley
Vocal Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Miles is a third-year Music Education major at the Wells School of Music, where he focuses his studies on adapted education in the performing arts. He has conducted research through both the SURF and SURI programs, exploring adapted audition and performance practices. In addition to his academic work on accessibility in the arts, Miles volunteers with TDF, an organization that produces autism-friendly performances of Broadway shows. He will be presenting his research findings at the 2026 PMEA Annual In-Service Conference.
Outside of his academic and research pursuits, Miles teaches at School of Rock and Hill Top Preparatory School and serves as the student intern for the West Chester Children’s Choir. Before attending West Chester, Miles studied Instrumental Performance at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, where he received comprehensive training in instrumental and choral methods, music theory, and composition. From there, he would proceed to write several choral works.
He has since continued to expand his experience as both a musician and teacher, applying his background to foster inclusive and engaging music-making environments at School of Rock Main Line.
Connor Condel
Drum Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Connor is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist who brings energy, creativity, and serious groove to every lesson. He got his start back in fourth grade through his school’s band program and has been hooked on making music ever since.
Currently studying Studio Composition at West Chester University, Connor blends his performance skills with a passion for songwriting and arranging. His biggest influences are Casiopea, Thundercat, and T-SQUARE, who fuel his love for rhythm, melody, and all things funky.
Connor is all about helping students at School of Rock Main Line feel confident, inspired, and excited to explore music in their own unique way.
