School of Rock pays tribute to the popular heavy metal TV show! Headbanger’s Ball is a music television program that consists of heavy metal music videos and performances airing on MTV. The show began on April 18, 1987, playing heavy metal music videos from both well-known and more obscure artists. The show offered a stark contrast to Top 40 music videos shown during the day. This show will cover many forms of metal from Thrash to Hair Metal, Metal-core to Nu-Metal and everything in between. Examples of classic and modern acts that might be in the setlist include, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Twisted Sister, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Megadeth, Pantera, Van Halen, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Mastodon, Meshuggah, Slipknot, Korn, A Perfect Circle, Killswitch Engage, Deftones, Godsmack and more!
