About the Camp

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This music camp is great for students 7-18 years old who have had previous instruction.

Weekly Schedule:

• Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm each day
• Drop off is no earlier than 15 minutes before the start of camp
• Pick up is no later than 15 minutes after camp
• Each day will consist of songwriting exercises and lyrical workshops, rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities

Friday Performance:

On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends by performing the songs they have created throughout the week. The show will take place at School of Rock NKY and will start promptly at 5PM. Campers will still need to be picked up by no later than 3:15PM on Friday and return to the school no later than 4:30PM for the performance. Our campers usually use the time in between pickup and returning for the show to get a bite to eat and change into a rockin' stage outfit.

Cancellation:

Camp enrollment can be cancelled for a full refund up to 15 days prior to the camp start date. Contact the school directly to cancel a camp enrollment.
