Show Descriptions:

Prince Vs Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson and Prince were the undisputed superstars of the '80s, with iconic albums like MJ's Thriller and Prince's Purple Rain cementing their legacy. Released in 1982, Thriller topped the Billboard 200 for 37 weeks and was the first album with seven top-10 singles, while its video elevated the music video to an art form and helped break racial barriers. MJ's limited 80s output of Thriller and 1987's Bad still earned him the title "King of Pop."

Prince is hailed as a great musician and prodigious multi-instrumentalist. His commercial breakthrough came in 1982 with 1999, his first top-10 album and an international hit. He exploded back with the film and soundtrack Purple Rain, his first number-one album, holding the top spot for six months and featuring hits like "Purple Rain" and "When Doves Cry." His prolific output, energetic dancing, and genre-bending music made a strong case for him as the decade's top star.

This performance will offer diverse opportunities for students on various instruments and styles, providing challenging moments for all skill levels to learn something new.

Tribute to Ozzy

Get ready to go completely OFF THE RAILS by celebrating the legendary career of the one and only Prince of Darkness: Ozzy Osbourne.  From his groundbreaking work that helped define heavy metal with Black Sabbath (“Paranoid”, “Iron Man”, “War Pigs”) to his iconic, chart-topping solo career   ("Crazy Train", "Mr. Crowley", “Mama, I'm Coming Home"), Ozzy has influenced generations of rockers. This show isn't just a concert; it's a deep dive into the thunderous rhythms, blistering guitar solos, soaring vocals, and unforgettable stage energy that made him a global icon. This will be an epic tribute to the man who proved you could be wild, weird, and still change the world with a song!  ALL ABOARD!

Pink Floyd’s The Wall

The legendary double-album which propelled Pink Floyd to superstardom, The Wall features hits like “Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2”, “Hey You”, and “Comfortably Numb.” The concept album follows the alienation of protagonist ‘Pink’, who is loosely based on both Roger Waters and previous Pink Floyd member Syd Barrett, and depicts lyrical themes of isolation, abandonment, and childhood trauma, all symbolized by a wall that is built and then torn down over the course of the story. The Wall’s music is defined by the soaring guitar solos of one of Rock’s masters, David Gilmour; lush piano and synth soundscapes by Richard Wright; intense drumming by Nick Mason; and introspective, complex, conceptual songwriting by Roger Waters. Pink Floyd’s The Wall encompasses not only fine musicianship, but also involves theatrics and stage performance, and presents an ambitious challenge for students of any instrument or experience level.

Parental Advisory: Some lyrical content and mature themes in this show may not be appropriate for all students.
