School of Rock Rocks the Iron Smoke Distillery
Wow—what an incredible day of music, community, and joy we had this weekend at Iron Smoke Distillery! This was our largest event yet, featuring nine amazing groups that brought the stage to life with their talent, energy, and love for music.
Highlights from the Day:
- Our School of Rock House Band set the tone with performances of "Tainted Love" and "Rebel Rebel," getting the crowd energized and ready for a great day of performances.
- Our Rock 101 groups amazed us with their courage and talent. For many of these young musicians, it was their first time on stage, and they absolutely shined. Watching them conquer those first-performance jitters and have so much fun was inspiring!
- Sandwiched in the middle of the day was an adult group performance that truly raised the bar. Their energy was unmatched, and their set was nothing short of spectacular!
- The Rock 201 "Drummageddon" band delivered a powerful performance with help from several House Band members stepping in. What an incredible display of teamwork and musicality!
- Closing out the day, we were treated to our featured shows, with stunning sets from the Woodstock, Funk, and Classic R&B groups. Each group brought their own flavor to the stage, and it was the perfect way to round out the afternoon.
What Made It Truly Special:
Beyond the music, the real magic of the day was in the connections. Parents mingled and shared the joy of seeing their kids thrive, students supported each other, and we all celebrated the power of music together. This event perfectly captured the heart of what School of Rock is all about—building a growing, passionate community that comes alive through a shared appreciation of music and performance. Creating an environment of belonging and proficiency is a cornerstone to what we do.
We’re so proud of every single student who performed and so grateful for the parents, staff, and friends who made this day possible. It was a Sunday afternoon to remember, and we can’t wait to do it all again soon.
Until next time, keep rocking!
