The School of Rock Headliner Award recognizes schools that consistently demonstrate exceptional performance in the delivery of our core mission - enriching lives through performance-based music education. To be eligible, schools must exhibit an exemplary level of achievement in the areas of school safety, utilization of the patented School of Rock Method™, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence over the course of the calendar year. Headliner award recipients represent schools that have not only met, but surpassed all expectations, in all categories.
We do teach music theory! Our proprietary music curriculum – the School of Rock Method – takes students on a journey through the minutiae of music theory, from the very simple to the very advanced. Students pair assignments from our physical curriculum with assignments on our state-of-the-art app built for practicing: the School of Rock Method App; with the Method Books and Method App together, we consistently see students grow leaps and bounds in the world of theory. You too can gear up for all the nitty gritty of musical theory at School of Rock San Ramon!
While we do offer “just lessons”, these prep lessons are a stepping stone to one of our core programs, and thus are open solely to students who are building their skills and getting ready to join Rock 101 or the Performance Program, as these core programs are designed for students of any level to jump right in! School of Rock is a performance- based school, with the goal of putting on a live show at the end of every season. we live to see our students take the stage, and find that with our performance-based education, students are uniquely challenged by the real-world application in a live concert environment, pushing them further than lessons alone ever could. With both weekly lessons and weekly rehearsals, students at School of Rock truly learn to rock!
