On Friday, January 16th, School of Rock Tucson’s House Band kicked off their first performance of the year at the 2026 Tucson Jazz Festival.
What’s the Tucson Jazz Festival?
It’s a nine-day celebration of jazz music that takes place every year in Downtown Tucson, featuring many talented jazz performers. The purpose of the festival is to spread awareness of jazz music while celebrating and appreciating its rich history and culture. Read more about this amazing jazz music celebration here!
Just outside the Rialto Theatre, where the Jazz Festival was kicking off, our talented House Band had the opportunity to serenade passersby and festival attendees with a variety of Latin-inspired songs, including Black Magic Woman by Santana, La Bamba by Los Lobos, and Piel Canela by Eydie Gormé. Check out their energetic performance of La Bamba by Los Lobos!
As always, our House Band ROCKED! Stay tuned for their next performance, along with performances from our other amazing School of Rock Tucson groups, at our End of Season Show happening on January 31st.
A huge thank you to Khris Dodge for giving School of Rock Tucson the opportunity to perform at the Tucson Jazz Festival!
ROCK ON!
