AN EVENING WITH LEE AARON | INTIMATE & INTERACTIVE WITH CANADA'S "METAL QUEEN"
Best known for iconic hits like Metal Queen, Whatcha Do To My Body, and Hands On, Canadian rock legend and Canada's Walk Of Fame Inductee Lee Aaron will be joining School of Rock Vancouver for a special Intimate & Interactive Session with our School of Rock Members and families.
This one-of-a-kind evening brings students, families, and local rock fans together with one of Canada’s most influential rock voices. A 10-time Juno Award nominee, Lee Aaron will share stories from her decades-long career in music, discuss what it was like navigating the male-dominated rock scene as a female artist, and answer questions from students and audience members.
To top it all off, Lee Aaron will perform select songs alongside the School of Rock Vancouver House Band, giving students the rare opportunity to share the stage with a true Canadian rock icon.
Student musicians, parents, families and friends welcome to attend this night of inspiring, fun, and unforgettable music and conversation.

Parking at Granville Island can be limited, especially during evenings and weekends, so please plan ahead and allow extra time.

⚡︎ Street parking is also available but fills quickly
⚡︎ Arriving 30 minutes or more before doors open is strongly recommended
The theatre is located next to the Kids Market on Cartwright Street, just a short walk from most island parking areas.

ABOUT LEE AARON
Lee Aaron is one of Canada’s most iconic rock vocalists, songwriters, producers, and fearless reinventors. She’s also a dedicated mom and humanitarian.
18 albums into her career, Aaron is best known for her hooky, edgy, guitar-driven music and invincible voice. She is celebrated internationally as a Canadian trailblazer forwomen in rock. Starting her career as a teenager in the '80s, her ‘84 sophomore release "Metal Queen" (a rebellious anthem of female empowerment) garnered global respect and won her legions of hard rock fans around the world. 1989's BodyRock and 1991’s Some Girls Do went multi-platinum, with chart-toppers like “Whatcha Do to My Body” and “Hands On.” CHART Magazine declared Aaron’s BodyRock one of the 20 most influential albums of the 1980s, her impact noteworthy on 90s female rockers to come. In 2016, after a decade-long hiatus for motherhood, Aaron blazed back onto the scene, releasing a series of new original albums and receiving a Brampton Arts Walk of Fame Award in her former hometown. In 2023, she was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame for her contribution to Canadian Music.
Other accolades include: 10 JUNO nominations, a CMPA Songwriters Award,MUCHMUSIC Video Awards, and 3 Toronto Music Awards.
Aaron supports a variety of causes: BODYROCK Whole Bean Blend (a partnership with Writers and Rockers Coffee), 100% of artist proceeds go to the Never Alone Cancer Foundation (nacf.ca). Performer and artistic director for 3 Rock Beats Cancer Benefits, raising nearly a million dollars for BC Cancer Foundation, and regular workshops with Guitar’s for Vets Canada, making free guitars and lessons accessible to veterans and first responders with PTSD.
Lee Aaron continues to write, record and tour her original brand of rock around the world and is still going strong with a career that spans over 40 years.
