Daniel Rutledge
General Manager
Born in Newport, Rhode Island, Daniel got to Texas as quickly as he could. His first instrument was the guitar, but he now plays drums, bass, keys, banjo, and sings. As a music producer, Daniel mixes and masters his own content under the name of "Bite Your Own Teeth," and he can sometimes be spotted playing around Houston. Daniel's love for music is boundless and eclectic. Some of his biggest influences include Outkast, John Fahey, Mastodon, Miles Davis, Sleep, Elder, Johnny Cash, and Slowdive.
David “Gio” Soto
Music Director
David Giovanni Soto (Gio) grew up in Pasadena, Texas where he played cello and guitar in 5th grade. In High School, he learned piano and discovered his voice. He joined the men’s choir and never looked back. Vocals became his main instrument and he studied vocals in University. He now gigs around town playing his solo music. His biggest influences are Tragically Hip, Kate Bush and TVZ.
Noel Rodriguez
Drums, Guitar
Noel is a School of Rock veteran, having taught at three schools in two countries. A native Texan, Noel grew up in Monterey, Mexico. He remembers the excitement he felt the first time he sat behind a drum kit, and realized that’s what he wanted to do. Noel loves rock and pretty much every other kind of music. He loves to play live and has played and recorded all over the world. His goal as an instructor is to share his love for music, and to get you playing.
Zach Jones
Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys
Zach has been involved in music for nearly 20 years. He picked up a guitar at a young age, as well as bass guitar. He has been with several Houston bands throughout his life as lead and rhythm guitarist. His dedication and passion for the art form of songwriting inspires him to make music on his own and challenges his creative limits in terms of what is possible when playing and making music. His love for the guitar, music and teaching in general knows no bounds.
Reef Stallworth
Bass, Drums
Reef is one of those musicians that has one name, like Prince or Flea. He has a ton of musical experience, and has been trained in Jazz as a bassist and composer. He started playing Rock and Hip Hop at Prairie View A&M University. He loves being able to teach bass guitar and drums to our students as a way of sharing what he knows.
Chris McNamara
Drums
Born into a very musical family, Chris got his start playing piano at eight but gravitated to the drum set by age eleven and has stayed busy practicing, gigging, and teaching ever since. A veteran of marching percussion and a graduate of the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Chris’ pursue of music has spanned multiple genres including jazz, funk, country, pop, salsa, and of course - Rock! He has accrued more than four years of teaching experience as well as a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University.
Andre “Dre” Cunningham
Drums
Andre was born into a musical family, with his great uncles being the late Jazz legends Elvin, Thad, and Hank Jones. He studied music production and percussion in high school and at Michigan State University. Andre has toured the world as a musician working with artists such as Dorinda Clark-Cole, Vicki Winans, Zacardi Cortez, Marcus Belgrave, Catherine Alcorn, and Dom Famularo to name a few. Originally from Michigan, Andre now calls Texas home.
Logan Gill
Guitar, Bass
Born and raised in Houston, Logan has been involved with the arts since before he could walk! An avid musician for most of his life, his guitar work spans many genres, from Jazz to Classical to Rock and Roll. When he’s not teaching, he’s most likely writing, singing, and performing with his band, the Deadly Blooms.
Matt Mireles
Drums
Matt Mireles was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He plays for the local rock band Gray Falls, known for their energetic live performances. Their original song "Orange Juice" won them 1st place in the Rodeo Rockstar group division contest. Matt has performed at iconic Houston venues including House of Blues, White Oak Music Hall, and Warehouse Live.
Rodney Chinelliott
Guitar, Bass, Drums
Rodney is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, lyricist, and music producer. He studied music theory at college and has a plethora of professional accomplishments. His stories are legendary. In his spare time, he is a voting member of the Grammys and currently plays with local Houston band, Oddknee.
Natalie Broussard
Vocals, Keys
Natalie is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. She received her B.A. in vocal performance in Louisiana where she gigged with Cajun and Zydeco bands while studying opera, art song, and musical theater. Natalie is an alto in several professional chairs and ensembles in Houston. She has a passion for sharing music with young people and building sustainable and positive learning environments. Natalie’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her dogs, Alfred and Alice.
Quincy Cotton
Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keys
Quincy is a multi-instrumentalist from Houston, Texas who studied guitar at Berkeley College of Music. He is also an experienced session musician, producer, engineer, and songwriter who creates all genres of music. Some of his influences include Prince, Iron Maiden, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jimi Hendrix.
Richard Sharp
Studio Coordinator, Guitar, Bass
Richard has been hooked on writing songs ever since he picked up a guitar in the 6th grade. He has played in several bands throughout the years, picking up bass and drums along the way. Richard loves the creativity of recording music and the comradery of practicing with friends, especially in his current project, Businessman. Before working at School of Rock, taught AP English. Richard loves to show his students how fun it is to work together and grow through practice. Some of his musical influences include Steely Dan, Elder, Phoebe Bridgers, and Archspire.
Seth Mireles
Studio Coordinator, Guitar, Bass
Seth is originally from Houston, Texas and he loves cleaning and fixing things, but do not mistake him for our maintenance man. He is absolutely a rock star! As the lead singer and guitarist in the band Gray Falls, he gigs with his brother, Matt, and coworker, Jaylon, every week all over Texas!
Jonah Trachtman
Guitar Teacher, Bass Teacher, Drum Teacher
Jonah Trachtman is a musician & producer from Houston, Texas. He plays music with a number of local bands on the drums and guitar and also produces his own music. Jonah is soft-spoken, but he lets his wide array of musical ability talk for him. Some of his favorite artists are Frank Zappa and Jimi Hendrix.
