Come learn the music of iconic bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and AC/DC in our Classic Rock Rewind Camp. This camp is perfect for developing musicians ages 11-17 who have had some previous lessons or playing experience.
Campers will learn to play the music of iconic bands in our Classic Rock Rewind music camp. In addition to rock songs, campers will learn about rock history and the stagecraft needed to perform on stage. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance at the school for friends and family. This camp is great for students 11-17 years old who have had some previous instruction or playing experience.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm each day
- Each day consists of instrument/singing instruction, band rehearsals, and other fun music-themed games and activities
- On Friday afternoon, campers will perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week in a concert at our School for family and friends. You will not believe what they accomplish in such a short time!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Campers can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented instructors. They will be part of a team of music-loving peers working together towards the goal of the performance and forming lasting bonds of friendship.
We have all necessary instruments available for use at the School including guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, drums and microphones. Campers who have their own instrument are welcome to bring it with them each day, along with any accessories (strap, picks, tuners, etc.) needed.
Campers should bring lunch each day plus a snack if desired. A refrigerator is available. There is a water cooler provided--individual water bottles are not needed and tend to be left behind.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
