School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education will open a new music school in Cedar Park. The school, which will be located at 1850 S. Lakeline Blvd. in Lakeline Rock Plaza is a franchised location operated by Texas-based Rockout Enterprises, LLC, which is co-owned by brothers Jerry and Chris Hayek. Having built and worked at other School of Rock locations for nearly a decade, Jerry Hayek will also serve as general manager of the school. Facility construction will begin later this spring and the school is scheduled to begin admitting students in late summer 2024.

"We are very excited to bring School of Rock’s patented method of music instruction to Cedar Park and the surrounding communities,” said Jerry Hayek. “Our approach provides students of any age the fastest way to become proficient on their chosen instrument—whether guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keys—by providing both lessons and band rehearsals, culminating in live shows at local venues.”

Families and interested students are invited to visit the school’s booth at the upcoming Austin Country, Folk & Blues Festival at the Crossover in Cedar Park on April 6.
