Camp Description
Grunge is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged in the mid-1980s. It blends elements of punk’s raw energy and heavy metal’s distorted guitar sound. The movement gained global attention in the early 1990s with bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgardenand Alice in ChainsThough its mainstream dominance faded by the late 1990s, grunge had a lasting impact on rock music, shaping later alternative and post-grunge bands while capturing the restless spirit of Generation X.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
