Our Popular Little Wing And Rookies Program Is Back This Fall
In celebration of Bob Marley's 75th birthday, School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, in collaboration with Universal Music Group, is proud to debut a video of Skip Marley performing Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" with the School of Rock 2020 AllStars.
With the State of Illinois entering Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, School of Rock is looking forward to opening it's doors in early July with the IDPH-approved safety guidance in place. Our top priority is and will continue to be the safety and health of our staff, students and the community. This reopening plan is done, slowly, diligently and with all the recommended safety protocols implemented as set out by the regional health authority and the School of Rock Franchise.
School of Rock's Songwriting program teaches the fundamentals of songwriting, arrangement, music theory, and helps students compose original works. These principles are then applied in a weekly session where students work together on songwriting workshops. At the end of each season, students will have the option to perform their original song(s) as part of the season show or to record a demo.
As part of the program, students will have one weekly private lesson on an instrument of their choice where they learn concepts, technique and theory.
Students can now record themselves playing using the School of Rock Method App™ and instructors will then compile the audio and video recordings to be pulled together into a full-band recording. Select School of Rock locations have already produced hundreds of group audio and video projects. Most School of Rock locations around the globe will be offering this new opportunity for creative collaboration
