To be eligible, schools must exhibit an exemplary level of achievement in the areas of school safety, utilization of the patented School of Rock Method™, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence over the course of the calendar year. School of Rock is suited for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. The program aims to prepare every student for the stage.
At School of Rock, we offer lessons in guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard/piano, and singing. What makes School of Rock different from traditional music lessons is our Method™, which integrates individual instruction with group rehearsals and live performances. This unique approach teaches students how to play as a band.
As part of the School of Rock Method, our SongFirst™ approach utilizes classic songs to teach technique and music theory, helping students remain excited about their music education and eager to practice.
School of Rock offers multiple programs that utilize a unique performance-based music education method and develops musical skills through our exclusive Method Engine, Method App, Method Book collection, and SongFirst approach.

At School of Rock Mamaroneck, we start students with private lessons at age 7, but we do have our Rookies music program for children as young as 5 years old.
Our instructors are real working, professional musicians. They are chosen not only based on their qualifications, but also how they can relate with our students. Every instructor has cleared a background check and is thoroghly trained to work with students in the age range of the program they’re directing.
