Louisiana Artists Take Home Awards at 2025 Grammys

The spirit of Louisiana pulsed through the 2025 Grammy Awards, as Jon Batiste and Tank and the Bangas claimed victories that echoed far beyond the stage. From Batiste’s soul-stirring “American Symphony” and Tank and the Bangas’ genre-defying win in the Best Spoken Word category, the night was a testament to the state’s enduring legacy as a cradle of American music. Their wins weren’t just personal milestones—they were cultural statements, celebrating the sounds born from bayous, backstreets, and bustling New Orleans clubs. The following Louisiana artists represented the state at the 2025 Grammys:

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards honored the best recordings, compositions, and artists from September 16, 2023, to August 30, 2024, as chosen by the members of the Recording Academy, on February 2, 2025. In its 22nd year at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the ceremony was broadcast on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+. Nominations were announced through a YouTube livestream on November 8, 2024.  South African comedian Trevor Noah hosted the ceremony for the fifth consecutive time.
