LONG ISLAND, NY — April 1, 2026 — School of Rock is proud to announce that its Huntington, Queens, Rockville Centre, Roslyn, and Syosset/Oyster Bay locations were named honorees at the 2026 Legends of Long Island Music Awards. The ceremony was held on March 31 at Anthony's Windows on the Lake in Lake Ronkonkoma, co-hosted by Good Times Magazine — America's oldest regional entertainment newspaper — and the Long Island Music Business Organization.
School of Rock was recognized alongside a distinguished group of Long Island music bands and institutions, including Decadia, Liverpool Shuffle, Funk Filharmonik, Mr. Cheapo, Infinity Records, The Jazz Lofe, The A Room, Dream Studios, LI Sound Studios, JVC Broadcasting, WHPC-Nassau Community College, and Mike McElwee of the Nutty Irishman, among others. Together, the honorees represent decades of dedication to cultivating and championing the Long Island music scene.
Through its performance-based curriculum, School of Rock's Long Island schools have helped hundreds of students of all ages discover their potential as musicians — not just by learning to play, but by taking the stage and performing live.
