CAMP DESCRIPTION

Our Nirvana Camp needs very little introduction. Combining elements of Punk, Metal, and Pop, Nirvana channeled teen angst into Rock’s last sweeping mainstream movement. With tracks like “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Come As You Are”, and “In Bloom”, Nirvana skyrocketed into mainstream success, crowning them the kings of Grunge, and they have remained prominent music legends due to their innovative sound and their influence on countless bands who came after them. Beginner and intermediate guitar players will learn power chords and melodic lead guitar in this show, while any drum student will be challenged by David Grohl’s powerful, technical drumming. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the last day for family and friends. 

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

• Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 2pm each day
• Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based game & activities
• On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water and hearing protection.

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. We kindly ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks, and to ensure no toy or real weapons are brought to the school. This helps us to maintain a safe, inclusive space where everyone can focus on making music and having fun! 

CANCELLATION POLICY

A 50% refund will be offered on canceled camps up to 15 days prior to the camp start date. Cancellations within 14 days before camp are not eligible for a refund.
