In this music camp, students will study and perform material made famous by Pop Legends such as Aretha Franklin, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and many more.
Camp Description
Throughout Rock and Roll history, some of the best performers were also the most popular of their time. These early Pop Legends such as Aretha Franklin, Dianna Ross and Dusty Springfield paved the way for modern icons such as Madonna, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift. While this music camp features mostly female music artists, we also feature some of their male counterparts such as Michael Jackson and Prince. After rehearsing for five days, the campers will take the stage on the final camp day. This is a great camp for instrumentalists and vocalists 7-18 years of age, with some prior experience preferred.
Weekly Schedule
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Drop off is no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of camp
- Pick up is no later than 5 minutes after camp
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends by performing the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week. The show will take place at the school and will start promptly at 2 pm.
What to Bring?
- Campers must bring their own lunch each day (no nuts please)
- Guitarists should bring their own guitar (or bass) if they own one
- Guitarists should bring straps, picks, extra strings, etc
- Vocalists should bring their own microphone if they own one
- Drummers must bring their own drumsticks
- Campers must bring their own hearing protection (available for purchase)
RAMP TO CAMP Program
Ramp to Camp is an optional program designed to help new campers feel confident and prepared for camp. It includes four, 30 minute one on one sessions with an instructor.
Students will:
- Learn the basics of your instrument or strengthen specific skills
- Get familiar with some of the camp songs
- Gain confidence before joining their band for the week.
- It’s the perfect warm-up for newer musicians or tune up for more experienced players — helping campers hit the ground running on day one! These sessions are customized to the camper's needs.
- Many campers will participate in this optional program a month prior to camp.
- Pricing is $200 for 4 sessions. Call us or email to set this up.
Should my child be in the Rock 101 CAMP or the Performance camp?
We get this question a lot. If you’re not sure which camp is the right fit, don’t worry. Just call us and we can schedule a free 30 minute trial on their instrument to make sure your student is placed where they’ll learn the most and have the most fun. You’re also welcome to stop by anytime! We’d be happy to sit down with you and your student, play a few songs, and help determine where they’ll thrive.
Cancelation Policy
A 50% refund will be offered on cancelled camps up to 15 days prior to the camp start date. Cancellations within 14 days before camp are not eligible for a refund.
