In this special 5-day music camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs

Camp Description

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This music camp is great for students 8-18 years old who have had previous instruction.

What to Expect

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, campers will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, a refillable water bottle with their name on it, and hearing protection.

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm each day
Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week! Friends and family are invited to cheer on these budding musicians as they make their debut performance!

Sales Policy

We occasionally offer sales on our camps throughout the year. However, waiting for a sale doesn't guarantee a spot in your desired camp.

Cancellation Policy

A 50% refund will be offered on cancelled camps up to 15 days prior to the camp start date. Cancellations within 14 days before camp are not eligible for a refund.
