MORE THAN A MUSIC SCHOOL A PLACE TO SHINE, CONNECT, BELONG & BE HAPPY

Students on stage performing together with confidence

School of Rock is so much more than a music school.

Our students gain far more than music skills. Here, our students build confidence, become part of a supportive community, and create lifelong friendships. Whether they're beginning their musical journey or taking their skills to the next level, every moment at School of Rock helps them discover who they are - louder, bolder, and more themselves than ever before.

WE HELP STUDENTS DISCOVER CONFIDENCE, CREATIVITY, HAPPINESS, AND COMMUNITY THROUGH THE POWER OF MUSIC

My son has grown emotionally without even realizing it
I see my son’s leadership skills growing in addition to his musicianship. My son is able to interact confidently with kids older or younger, better skilled or less skilled, and he's grown emotionally without even realizing it. Plus, he's a killer bassist.

Students appreciate each other's talents and they are just able to be normal kids
Having School of Rock has been incredible during a very hard time of her being bullied in middle school. People at school don't get to see her talent, but at School of Rock they all appreciate each other's talents and they are just able to be normal kids. It has also helped significantly as my daughter has been going through personal problems with her father. School of Rock has helped her channel all of that hurt into her music.

My kid felt safe to be himself
My kid came out just before freshman year. His high school experience left him feeling isolated, but at School of Rock, he felt safe to be himself fully. He found a community of artistic, welcoming kids and teachers who encouraged his talent and personality. It transformed his teen years, and as his mom, I am incredibly grateful.

My son has developed better emotional regulation skills
My kid spends less time playing video games and watching YouTube and more time listening to music, researching artists and reading lyrics. He has also developed better emotional regulation skills and is far less reactive with his brother when they disagree. I've also noticed him developing friendships in school with kids who are just… nicer.

School of Rock enhances our child's sense of belonging
It is not really possible to overstate how strongly my spouse and I agree with the fact that School of Rock enhances our child's sense of belonging and our child feeling free to be herself. It is a wonderful space for youth of varied ages, identities, and backgrounds to connect to each other through a shared love of learning and performing music together.

At School of Rock, my Neurodivergence was a superpower
All my life, my Neurodivergence has been a challenge for others and myself. At School of Rock it was different. It was like my Neurodivergence was a superpower. I realized how much I truly connected with music and other people due to my own struggles.

School of Rock has been life-changing
My child was in the worst era of her life—bullied and lacking confidence. She has not only improved but flourished under School of Rock. She found support with students and staff and regained her confidence. It has been life-changing.
