Perform 90s hits by Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt and Oasis. Sessions available for ages 8-12 and ages 13-18

The 90s were one of music’s most important decades as grunge and alternative music took over the airwaves and popular culture. Come celebrate bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Weezer and many more in our Best of the 90s music camp. At School of Rock Princeton, campers will learn and perform 90’s favorites from Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, Oasis and more. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and rehearsing songs, culminating in a live show for family and friends at the end of the week.

During the week, campers will be split into age groups, 8–12 and 13–18, for songs and activities suited to their experience levels.

What to Expect

Students can look forward to an exciting and inspiring week of music led by our talented camp instructors. Each day, campers should bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection to stay comfortable and ready to rock.

At School of Rock, safety and inclusivity are always top priorities. To help ensure a positive experience for everyone, please avoid packing nut products, and make sure personal items brought from home are safe and appropriate for a group setting.

Weekly Schedule

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 3:00pm each day
Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities

On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week! Friends and family are invited to cheer on these budding musicians as they make their debut performance!

About School of Rock

School of Rock gives young musicians a place to build skills, express themselves, and grow through the experience of performing on stage as a band. Our instructors lead dynamic lessons for both beginners and advanced students in guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals.

We help students find their voice, feel confident in who they are, and learn how to work together in a supportive band setting. Through collaborative rehearsal, they develop communication skills, resilience, and the ability to work well with others. School of Rock fosters a culture of respect, creativity, and inclusion, creating a community where every student feels supported. Performances on our in house professional stage give students real experience that helps them grow both as musicians and as people.

“The instructors are excited to engage with their students and support their development in a way that's fun, positive, and challenging. Their passion for their craft, and for growing the next generation of musicians, translates to their students. My son is just 10, and I'm amazed at the drummer he has already become at this school over the past 2 years.” — JM, Hamilton, NJ
