Our Experienced Music Teachers
All of School of Rock Snellville’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. Our instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.
Larry is one of our beloved guitar teachers at School of Rock Snellville, who was born into a musical family. He’s been playing guitar, bass, and piano since childhood. One of his joys has always been teaching younger people how to play music to keep the tradition of live performance alive. His favorite rock era is the 50s and 60s, with emphasis on The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Linda is a School of Rock Snellville guitar teacher, bass guitar teacher, and piano teacher, who literally does it all because she also works at the School of Rock located in Buckhead. Linda is a multi-talented musician who gigs constantly and plays with several bands, including a tribute to the legendary Heart.
Music Director, Drum Teacher
Matthew is a technically-trained musician with 35 years of teaching and performing experience. Originally from Pittsburg, Matthew moved to Atlanta in 1998 and has been doing everything from working with high school marching bands and drum corps to playing in several bands and churches and giving private lessons. He’s versed in concert band, marching band, orchestra, and jazz, as well as several variations of rock and soul drumming. He is a music director and drum teacher at School of Rock Snellville.
Sean grew up learning multiple instruments throughout his childhood, with a love for 80's rock bands like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, and Ratt. He attended School of Rock in Charlotte, NC for over two years, joining their house band and playing shows around the city. Sean moved to Atlanta to study at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, graduating in 2020. He is currently the lead guitarist for local classic rock band, The Relics.
Singing Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Lizzie has been playing piano and singing for over 20 years. She is now a music therapy major at Georgia State University with a focus in vocal performance. When she is not teaching or in school, she enjoys jamming, watching anime, and playing video games with her husband, TJ, and dog, Domo. Lizzie’s top 3 favorite artists are Sam Cooke, T. Rex, and Sigur Rós.
Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Michael is a music production major at Georgia State University and is a piano instructor here at School of Rock Snellville. He’s played piano and guitar in his church band for over 6 years and has used his instruments for many of his own recording projects as well. Along with that, he’s also studied trumpet at university and originally started in his worship band on the drum set and bass guitar. His interests include anime, video games, and arranging and producing his own music. His favorite rock bands include Coheed and Cambria, Thank You Scientist, and The Doobie Brothers but also loves metal, funk, bluegrass, and jazz.
Singing Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Shana is a recent graduate of Columbus State University and has over 10 years of classical training and operatic stage experience. In the summer of 2022, she was selected out of 33 students across the nation to perform in an Opera Viva program in Verona, Italy.
Shana also has an extensive musical theatre background, where she performed selections from Broadway musicals “Chicago” as well as “South Pacific” and “Porgy and Bess.” During her free time, she enjoys going on adventurous hikes as well as watching anime.
Spencer has been playing drums for over a decade. He was motivated by his father, who is also a drummer. Spencer was introduced to the likes of John Bonham, Neil Peart, and Carter Beauford early in his life. His favorite kinds of music are the blues, jazz-fusion, and rock and roll.
